Doutzen Kroes is a Dutch model best known for her appearances for the lingerie shop Victoria's Secret. Blonde and blue-eyed with just a hint of Teutonic princess, she has appeared on the covers of Vogue, Elle, and W magazines, among many others. Vogue.com named her Model of the Year in 2005 after a vote of users; the same year she made her first appearance in the annual Victoria's Secret televised fashion show, as well as the company's lingerie catalogue.
Doutzen Kroes graced the covers of Time, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Seventeen, Elle, Marie Claire, Glamour, W, Avantgarde, Dazed & Confused and Numéro. She also appears regularly in the Victoria’s Secret catalog and walked the runway of the company’s fashion show in 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2009. Kroes’s campaigns include Gucci, Tommy Hilfiger,Versace, Blumarine, Escada, Dolce & Gabbana,
Valentino, Hugo Boss, Guerlain, Bottega Veneta, De Beers, GAP, Gianfranco Ferre, and Neiman Marcus.
Her beautiful face has also graced the covers of Harper’s Bazaar, Numero, Avant Garde, and Vogue. In fact, readers of Vogue.com gave Doutzen the ultimate honor in 2005 when they selected her as Model of the Year. “I had no notion,” she gushed at the time. “I am very lucky and grateful over it. Such a thing is always a big compliment!”
