On November 16, 2009, Neiers pled not guilty to burglary charges stemming from her alleged involvement with the Hollywood Blin Ring burglaries. The burglars had targeted the homes of celebrities including Orlando Bloom, Lindsay lohan,Rachel Bilson,Paris Hilton ,Audrina Partridge,etc... On May 10, 2010, Neiers pled no contest to a felony charge of first degree residential burglary of Orlando Bloom's home and was sentenced to 180 days in county jail, with three years' probation.Neiers began her sentence on June 24, 2010, and was released on July 24, 2010;after serving one month of a six-month sentence.During the last five days of her sentencing, she was in a cell next to Lindsay Lohan...(go figure)
She reported that she did not have any contact with Lohan during her brief time in prison and that Lohan was not causing any trouble.
On December 1, 2010, Neiers was arrested on a probation violation. When Neiers failed to check in with her probation officer, officers paid her a visit. During the search, officers found a black substance that resembled tar heroin, burnt foil that is common with heroin use and a fraudulent Florida drivers license. Neiers was subsequently ordered to one year of rehab, and was joined there by her sister Tess,for the same circunstances.
After the airing of Pretty Wild, many unapproved images were released of Alexis and her costar and sister Tess Taylor,on the website www.thedirty.com. Although lawyers requested the images such as the girls smoking bongs to be taken down, the blogger Nik Richie of thedirty site declined.In December 2010 Alexis checked into the SOBA Recovery center for her addiction to heroin, Xanax, marijuana and alcohol. She has been sober since. Neiers started school while in treatment in order to obtain her CADAAC certification to become a licensed drug and alcohol counselor. She completed her schooling in October 2011 and now volunteers her time at different rehabilitation centers in Malibu California. Alexis recently filed with the Secretary of state for her 501c3 in hopes of opening a large community center for youth and young adults who are addicted to drugs.
